Dear GCS Parents/Guardians,

Today the District worked with both Albany and Greene County Health Departments assisting with contact tracing efforts.  It is our understanding that Greene County DOH has already started making calls to potential contacts, and residents in Albany County DOH should expect a call within the next 48 hours.

High School (9-12):

Based on the number of employees and students that may be placed in quarantine, the High School will continue in remote instruction.  At this time, we anticipate that high school students will be able to return to in-person/hybrid instruction on Thursday, December 3.

Transportation will be provided to CTE and New Vision classes. If needed, CTE students can complete their GCS remote classes from the library. CTE students who have been notified that they are a potential contact, will attend their CTE and GCS classes remotely from home.

Middle School (6-8):

Middle School faculty and staff will report to campus on Tuesday as Middle School students will return to in-person/hybrid instruction tomorrow, November 24, 2020. Tomorrow is a Spartan Day.

Elementary School (K-5):

Elementary School students will continue to attend in-person instruction.

If you have any questions please reach out to me, Erin DuBois, Denise Wickham or your building principal.

Sincerely,

Tammy J. Sutherland

Superintendent
