FITNESS

The fitness center is open to the public. All participants must complete and return these forms to the District Office (Daphane Pearson: Pearsond@greenvillecsd.org) before gaining access to the Fitness Center.

What are the hours?
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:00am until 7:30am (dates and times subject to change, closures will be reflected on the GCSD calendar).

Where is the fitness center?
It's in the Greenville MS/HS. Please park in lot #5 and enter through the fitness center door on the left of the building.

Who can use the fitness center?
GCSD adult residents, faculty, and staff. Children under 15 are NOT permitted.

What type of equipment is available?
The Fitness Center has a cardiovascular area, which may be used to improve, maintain or enhance cardiovascular fitness. It is equipped with treadmills, cross-trainers, stair climbers, upright bikes and recumbent bikes and rowing machines. The cardiovascular equipment is designed for use by people of varying fitness levels from beginner to the more advanced. Nautilus equipment utilizing a full circuit of select strength training machines is also available. These machines are effective for training all the major muscle groups of the body, utilizing exercises that are common to training programs for beginners to elite athletes.

There is also a free weight area with a full range of weights, benches, and equipment for those who prefer to do strength training with this type of equipment.

How can I become a participant?
You must complete and return all the following forms to the District Office (Daphane Pearson: Pearsond@greenvillecsd.org): Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk Agreement AND Fitness Center Participant Information Form.

*Staff members who have already returned their fitness center waivers will not be required to use these updated forms this year. 

What do I need to bring?
Please bring your own towel and water, and water bottle.
