Anthony Zhang
Valedictorian
The Greenville Central School Faculty and Administration are proud to announce Anthony Zhang as the Valedictorian for the Class of 2025 and a National Merit Scholarship Winner. Anthony, the son of Yun Zhang and Nancy Xiuzhong-Zhao of Greenville, has demonstrated outstanding academic excellence throughout his high school career.
On June 27, 2025, Anthony will receive his New York State Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in both Math and Science, boasting an impressive weighted average of 101.74. His commitment to academic rigor is evident through his participation in multiple Honors, Advanced Placement and Early Admit college courses. He is also a candidate for a Full International Baccalaureate Diploma.
Beyond academics, Anthony is actively involved in various extracurricular activities. He is a proud member of the National Honor Society, as well as the Robotics and Science Clubs. As a scholar-athlete, he has shown dedication in Varsity Volleyball, Cross Country, and Track.
In addition to his academic and athletic pursuits, Anthony is a talented musician. He has been a member of the concert band and jazz ensemble since middle school and is an exceptional trombone player. Throughout high school, he has been selected to perform with the Empire Youth Orchestra and has participated in NYSSMA’s Area All-State. Last year, he was honored at the All State Conference for music, and this year, he received the award for Best Student Trombone in New York from NYSSMA and was invited to the NAfME All-Eastern Division Conference for being one of the best trombonists in the U.S. Northeastern region.
Looking ahead, Anthony will continue his post-secondary studies at Columbia University, where he plans to major in Mechanical Engineering. His achievements serve as an inspiration to his peers and the entire Greenville community.

John A. Kropp
Salutatorian
John is the son of John P. Kropp and Susan Kropp of Rensselaerville.
On June 27, 2025, John will receive a New York State Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and a Mastery in Science, having achieved an impressive weighted GPA of 100.158. He has consistently challenged himself academically by enrolling in Honors, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, and college-level courses through Columbia-Greene Community College.
Beyond his academic achievements, John has been an invaluable member of our school community. He has participated in the National Honor Society, Student Council, SADD, and the Interact Club. Notably, John played a pivotal role in establishing Greenville’s Trap Shooting Team, even presenting to the Board of Education on proper safety precautions to ensure the team's effectiveness.
This fall, John will be attending Clarkson University aiming for a career in Mechanical Engineering.

Genevieve Stewart
Genevieve is the daughter of Greg and Wendy Stewart of Greenville. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Mastery in Science. Genevieve will be attending the College of Arts and Sciences at Syracuse University.

Scarlett Coons
Scarlett is the daughter of Ronald Jr and Jessica Coons of Surprise. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Scarlett will be attending Ithaca College next year to study Music Education.

Nicholas Lucci
Nicholas is the son of Manja and John Lucci of Greenville. He will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in both Math and Science. He is a candidate to earn a Full International Baccalaureate Diploma. Nicholas plans to study Computer Science at Endicott College.

Ella is the daughter of Kyle and Maureen Grupe of Freehold. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Ella plans to attend Hartwick College next year where she will study Business.

Olivia Hughes
Olivia is the daughter of Michael and Lynn Hughes of Greenville. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Olivia will be attending The University at Buffalo, where she has been accepted into the University Honors College. She plans to major in Biomedical Sciences.

Alisa Rich
Alisa is the daughter of David and Amber Rich of Greenville. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Alisa plans to further her education at the University of New Haven where she will study Forensic Science and Biology.

Laila Overbaugh
Laila is the daughter of Doug and Danielle Overbaugh of Greenville. She will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma. Laila will be attending Hudson Valley Community College to study Digital Media, ultimately planning to pursue a career in Graphic Design.

Evan Snyder
Evan is the son of Scott and Jill Snyder of Freehold. He will graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and Mastery in both Math and Science. He is a candidate to earn a Full International Baccalaureate Diploma. Evan will be attending Boston University next year.
