Kindergarten Moving Up Day!
(Updated Information for Families)

Dear Families,
After I shared plans about our “Kindergarten Moving Up Day” I learned that “Moving Up Day” falls under the same requirements as high school graduation, and requires approval from local officials.
Our Moving Up Day plans will be acceptable with a few minor adjustments:
One car per family may enter the South parking lot. Families will be given directions for parking.
Parents must remain in the car. Teachers will call children for a photo, one person at a time.
A photographer will take photos for each family. These photos will be sent to teachers and families afterward.
Masks are required for teachers and children while they are standing in the South lot. Kindergarten students can remove the mask for the photo. We will maintain 6 feet of physical distance.

9:15 Ms. Herwick’s class
10:00 Mrs. Kappel’s class
10:45 Mrs. Thela’s class
11:30 Miss Vincent’s class
Please wear your kindergarten class (color) t-shirt!
Teachers will call up students one-by-one to receive their certificate.
A staff member will come to each car to collect returned items:
all classroom books and library books
packets/completed ELA, math, science, social studies papers
GCS I-pad and charging cable (If you have one)
Optional: Parents are welcome to decorate their car with window chalk, balloons or
posters!
