MR. REEVE'S MORNING MESSAGE - WEDNESDAY, MAY 27

May 27, 2020

Good morning Greenville Middle School!

Tomorrow night, May 28, at 7:00 pm tune into our annual Middle School Awards Night virtually. Although we can’t come together, as tomorrow night was the original date it was scheduled, you can still view some of your classmates being recognized for their accomplishments this past school year. Some of the awards you or your classmates may receive are the Scholarship Award, Principal’s Award, Attendance Award, Junior G Award, Challenge Award, Grade Level Award, and others.

A link to the awards night video for each grade level will be emailed at 6:45 tomorrow night. No big deal if you can’t watch it tomorrow as you will have the link to view it at any time. Any awards or certificates you receive will be mailed to you at the end of the school year.

Please remember that you all are expected to participate in your learning each day. The learning opportunities the teachers are providing you do allow you to work at your own pace and absorb the content.

It is important for you to make sure if you have some Working Towards (W) as a grade that you redo and resubmit the assignment. If you have any Incompletes (I) please complete and submit them. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions.

There are three weeks and two days left to the end of this school year.  Be Spartan STRONG until the end and complete the challenge of receiving all Completes (C) for the quarter!

Have a great day!

Mr. Reeve

Morning Message:

WORK ETHIC - Doing One’s Best

Take a moment to remember the last time you worked hard to accomplish something.  Maybe you worked hard on your science project and received a good grade; maybe you worked hard to save money for something special, or maybe you worked hard cleaning and organizing your room.

When you work hard at something and then see the results of that hard work, all the effort becomes worthwhile. There is a great feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction.  You feel good about yourself.

Booker T. Washington, one of America’s great educational leaders, believed strongly in the power of education and hard work. Here’s what he says to us today:

Nothing ever comes to one, that is worth having, except as a result of hard

work.

Is there something you want that is worth having?  Today, work a little harder and move closer to what you want, then see if you feel better about yourself at the end of the day.

With something to think about, this is Mr. Reeve reminding you to Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be The Best You Can Be. The choice is yours. Have a great day!
