MR. REEVE'S MORNING MESSAGE - THURSDAY, MAY 7

May 7, 2020

Good morning Greenville Middle School!

Today I would like to point out Mr. Hash’s Spartan STRONG Choice Board for Week 7.  Mr. Hash started these choice boards with the idea of the importance that we continue to be Spartan STRONG no matter where we are. He has been posting a weekly choice board with different ways to demonstrate the STRONG traits. You can find the choice boards on the district website under the middle school page. Here is a link to this week's choice board - Choice Board Week 7

My favorite with the Choice Board for this week is the help that Mr. Hash is looking for.  Students how many of you have created a Tik Tok in the last week?  I know there are many of you out there who have as I have witnessed you doing them when we were in school so we know you are not afraid to video yourself . Well, let’s put your Tik Tok filming to a different use. Mr. Hash needs students to tape-record themselves reading books for our elementary students. If you are interested please email Mr. Hash at hashd@greenvillecsd.org.

If you have been reading a good book and are interested in sharing about it with a video book talk please email Ms. Cremen for more information. cremenn@greenvillecsd.org

Students if you are interested in helping New York State with coronavirus, they are looking for videos that demonstrate why it is so important to wear a mask in public.  The winning video will be used as a Public Service Announcement.  Please click on the link for more details if you are interested. Videos must be submitted by May 15th.

Students, just a reminder 5-week interim period ends on Friday, May 15th.  It is important for you to make sure if you have some Working Towards (W) as a grade that you redo and resubmit the assignment. If you have any Incompletes (I) please complete and submit them. Please reach out to your teachers if you have any questions.

Morning Message:

EDUCATION - Open-Mindedness

Somebody wise once said:

Minds are like parachutes; they only work when they are open.

An important part of getting an education is learning to keep your mind open to new ideas, new information, and new possibilities.  This doesn’t mean you won’t eventually come to your own conclusions and beliefs; it simply means that you stay open to the idea of gathering knowledge and information.

Today, make like a parachute and keep an open mind.

With something to think about, this is Mr. Reeve reminding you to Be Kind, Be Responsible, Be The Best You Can Be. The choice is yours. Have a great day!
