March 23, 2020

Good morning Greenville Middle School!

Starting today, faculty and staff will start giving out Greenville Greens digitally to support our expectations with PBIS.  Faculty and staff will be looking for things students are doing digitally that meet our Spartan STRONG traits.

Remember the Spartan STRONG traits are: Self-Control, Taking Action (asserting themselves appropriately), Responding Respectfully or Responsibly, Offering Empathy, Never Giving Up (persistence), or Growing Together (cooperation).  These behaviors can be seen in academics, social behavior, or life skills.

During the week you will get an email from a faculty or staff member if you have received a Greenville Green. It will tell you what Spartan STRONG trait you are being recognized for.

At the end of the week (as we always do), we will (randomly) select two Greenville Green per grade level and announce those selected students school-wide by email! We will also send each student a Greenville Green by email at the end of the week.

Please make sure if you have questions that you email your teacher, teaching assistant or myself and we will get back to you. If you know of a classmate who is having trouble with their internet, please have them call the school at 518-966-5070 ext. 451 and someone will call them.

Keep up the great work with your assignments!!

Happy Birthday today goes out to Grace E. in 8th grade!!!

Morning Message:

SMILES Generosity

Stop a minute and think about someone in your life with a great smile. How do you feel when that person smiles? Do you feel good just thinking about it?

Now listen to these words: A smile costs nothing, but gives much. It enriches those who receive it, without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory sometimes lasts forever . . . . It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Today, let's be generous with one another by being generous with our smiles.

With something to think about, this is Mr. Reeve reminding you to Be kind, Be Responsible, Be The Best You Can Be. The choice is yours. Have a great day!
