Mrs. Erin DuBois, Elementary Counselor
966-5070 ext. 313

The role of the Elementary Counselor is to help students develop healthy strategies to cope with any obstacles and difficulties they may face so that every child is a happy and successful learner. As Elementary Counselor, Mrs. DuBois is available to give assistance to students regarding many concerns that may impact school performance.

Mrs. DuBois may meet with students for a wide array of reasons, including, but not limited to problems with academics, study skills, peer relations, grief and loss, school attendance or family concerns. She visits every classroom in the fall to introduce herself to all of the students. One of her main goals is for students to see her as yet another adult in the building that they can go to if they need help.

The Elementary Counselor is also responsible for supervising a variety of programs geared at providing additional support for students. Scott M. Ellis Elementary offers a primary mentoring program, aimed at assisting students in grades K-3 who may have some transition difficulties or would benefit from some additional adult connections.

Parents are encouraged to contact Mrs. DuBois with any questions or to share a concern.
